The Impact of the Battle of Vimy Ridge on Hamilton

The overall implications of the Battle of Vimy Ridge on my community of Hamilton resulted in an overall increase in the manufacturing of war materials such as weaponry, munitions and in particular steel, setting the course for what the city would become known for. Vimy Ridge and the whole entirety of the First World War had brought over 505 manufacturing plants to Hamilton, and even past the Second World War when it had brought the Studebaker plant.
