Throughout history, Aboriginal people have suffered from discrimination and have been treated as “second­class” citizens in Canada. They were cast off into reserves and had their children torn away from them and sent to residential schools, where they were mistreated and deprived of a proper childhood... The Aboriginal community has long been fighting for their rights and for better treatment.
